Junction City Main Street (JCMS) is pleased to announce the hiring of Patti Noriega as its new Executive Director, continuing the organization’s work to strengthen Downtown Junction City through economic development, community partnerships, events, beautification, and historic preservation.
Noriega brings an established connection to JCMS and the community, including service on the JCMS Board of Directors and Economic Vitality Committee. Her familiarity with the organization, its partners, and current initiatives will provide valuable continuity as she steps into the role.
As Executive Director, Noriega will oversee daily operations and lead implementation of JCMS’s downtown revitalization strategy, including business and economic development, grant and project management, fundraising, marketing, events, volunteer engagement, and community partnerships.
“Serving as Executive Director of Junction City Main Street has been an incredible privilege, and I am extremely proud of the growth and momentum we have built downtown,” said current Executive Director Jordan McCann. “Patti already has a strong understanding of our organization, our community, and the partnerships that make this work possible. I am confident she will bring her own strengths and vision to the role while continuing to move JCMS forward.”
Noriega joins JCMS during a period of continued growth. The organization has expanded its business and entrepreneurship support, community programming, beautification efforts, and public-private investment while maintaining accreditation through Main Street America and Kansas Main Street. In 2025, JCMS was also recognized as one of three Ad Astra Main Street programs in Kansas.
“I’m incredibly excited to step into this role and continue building on the momentum already happening in Junction City,” said Noriega. “Downtown is where so much of our community comes together—to support local businesses, gather with friends and family, celebrate, and connect. With the partnerships and opportunities taking shape across our community, this is an exciting time to help shape what comes next. I’m honored to lead Junction City Main Street into its next chapter.”
The leadership transition will begin in mid-September, allowing Noriega and McCann to work closely together on current projects, partnerships, and organizational priorities.
Noriega will fully assume the Executive Director role in mid-October. This transition period will help ensure continuity and maintain momentum on JCMS initiatives already underway.
Opportunities to meet Noriega and learn more about the future of Junction City Main Street will be announced in the coming weeks.
