UPDATE:
Geary County Commissioners have cancelled their Thursday evening meeting that was scheduled at the County Office Building due to the illness of the County Finance Director.
The meeting was to be held to discuss the EMS service issue. The City and County have been in disagreement over the amount that the County should pay in 2023. The two entities jointly fund the EMS service. The Finance Director was scheduled to be the presenter Thursday evening.

Geary County Commissioner Trish Giordano has announced that the Geary County Commission will be holding a Special Meeting Thursday evening at 7pm, in the Commission Chambers at 200 E 8th St in Junction City.
Even though the City Commission has indicated they do not plan to be there, the County Commission is encouraging the City Commission to change their mind and attend.
The County and City have been at odds over the amount of EMS service fees to be paid by the County.
