Geary Community Hospital has begun their 10th session of the Medical Explorers program with area high school students. Medical Explorers began at GCH in 2016 with local high school students interested in the healthcare industry. The practical, hands-on activities by the program are a natural extension of the students Health Sciences coursework at Junction City High School.
Students are also introduced to the Health Occupation Students of America (HOSA) organization, a national organization which prepares secondary and postsecondary collegiate students to enter the healthcare field. The program is open to all high school students in the community. It is being program is in partnership with the Boy Scouts Explorer Program Post 2102.
