There will not be any school in Chapman Monday

Due to an increase in COVID-19 cases over the last 24 hours, Chapman officials have been working with Dickinson County Health Department to continue to monitor the current situation. As a result of the increase in COVID related activity in the area over the last 24 hours, USD 473 will not not hold class on September 21.

All activities will also be cancelled for September 21 .

COVID-19 affects different people in different ways. Infected people have had a wide range of symptoms reported – from mild symptoms to severe illness.

Symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus. People with these symptoms may have COVID-19:

Fever or chills

Cough

Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing

Fatigue

Muscle or body aches

Headache

New loss of taste or smell

Sore throat

Congestion or runny nose

Nausea or vomiting

Diarrhea
