The Geary County Sheriff's Department reported that on Sunday Deputies responded to US 77-Highway at mile marker 148 in reference to a three vehicle injury accident. Alleigh Swarts of Manhattan KS was traveling southbound in her 2008 Kia Sorento when she hydroplaned and side swiped a 1989 Buick Park Avenue being driven by Keenan Sanger-Koepke of Herringto who was traveling north.
After striking the Buick, Swarts’ vehicle then struck a 2022Chevrolet Silverado being driven by Travis Hiatt of Manhattan, KS who was traveling north.
Occupants of the Chevrolet Truck were transported by Junction City EMS/Fire to Stormont Vail of Flint Hills for Medical Evaluation.
