Big Red One delegation visits Omaha Beach

  Representatives from the First Infantry Division returned to Omaha Beach, site of the Normandy D-Day invasion in World War II. 

According to the Army, the commanding general of the 1st Infantry Division and Fort Riley, Maj. Gen.  John Meyer, spoke to Soldiers of the division about sacrifice, dedication to duty, and the great legacy of the 1st Infantry Division. 1. 

This is the 78th anniversary of the D-Day invasion.
