There was an estimate of more than 35,000 people in attendance for the recent Oktoberfest in downtown Junction City. A coordinator for the annual event, Justin Hoover, thanked the Junction City Commission Tuesday night for their support and noted that there were more volunteers this year.
Hoover reported that there were 92 vendors and a lot of entertainment for the celebration. He described it as the largest Oktoberfest in Kansas.
