RILEY COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a suspect for an altercation involving a police office.
Just after 2:30a.m. Sunday, officers filed a report for battery on a Law enforcement officer in the 500 block of Juliette Avenue in Manhattan, according to the Riley County Police Department activity report.
A 41-year-old RCPD police officer reported that 53-year-old Glen Bennett of Manhattan struck the officer with a closed fist.
Bennett was arrested on requested charges of battery on an Law enforcement officer, interference with law enforcement and disorderly conduct. He was issued a $5,000 bond. He remains confined at the time of this report.
