Konza Prairie Community Health Center has announced that Dustie Samuels, DO, has joined the organization as medical director for its clinics in Junction City, Manhattan, and Chapman.
Dr. Samuels graduated from Council Grove High School and received health education in emergency medicine from Kansas community colleges before graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutritional Sciences from Kansas State University. She received her degree in Osteopathic Medicine from Lincoln Memorial University, DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in Harrogate, Tennessee, and conducted her residency at the Wichita Center for Graduate Medical Education in Wichita, KS.
Dr. Samuels is a board-certified family medicine physician who comes to Konza from McPherson Center for Health where she provided full-spectrum primary care for patients of all ages. She is a member of the American Osteopathic Association and American Academy of Family Physicians.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Samuels also serves as adjunct clinical faculty at Kansas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Wichita. She also has experience as an instructor and provider in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Basic Life Support and Pediatric Life Support.
Founded in 1995, Konza Prairie Community Health Center is a locally-owned, not-for-profit community health center with clinics in Junction City, Manhattan, and Chapman. Konza provides a range of medical, dental, behavioral health, and pharmacy services for residents of 10 northeast Kansas counties. Approximately 13,000 people of all ages are served annually.
