Executive Director Jodi Mason says that the Magdalene Project has a warming shelter open at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 126 W. 7th Street in JC. It is a 24/7 shelter with three hot meals and will be open until noon on Sunday, Feb. 23rd.
A key point is that this is for anyone without heat (ie: utilities are off), not just those that are unhoused. They are also looking for more 6-hour shift volunteers. The link to sign up for that is: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0B48A5A62
You can volunteer to cover a 6-hour shift, donate blankets or sleeping bags, drop off supplies (cleaning, TP, bottled water) or sign up to provide a warm meal.
