Crystal Malchose is leaving the Geary County Human Resources Director position. She informed County officials Monday that her resignation will be effective April 15th, but she noted that she will be available for help during the transition period until a new director is hired.
"I've been in the public government for 23-plus years and somebody contacted me and said what can we do to get you away from county service. It's for Pawnee Mental Health Services, "said Malchose. "I just admire what they do so much that I basically jumped at the opportunity to be part of that."
Malchose will be the H-R Director and will be based in the Manhattan office of Pawnee Mental Health Services. She noted that she will work in the 10-county region served by the agency.
Malchose has worked in Geary County for about 10 months. Before that she was employed in Pottawatomie County.
