Late Monday morning Geary County Sheriff's Deputies responded to I-70 Westbound mile marker 291 for a single vehicle accident. The Sheriff's Department said Patricia Pierce-Southern of Abilene was traveling westbound in a 2003 Subaru Forrester when she lost control of her vehicle, causing her to strike the mile marker sign and the guardrail. Minor injuries were reported. The vehicle was removed by Gross Wrecker.
