Geary County Rural Fire Chief Garry Berges provided an update to the county commission this week.
.There have been early discussions about supporting a Dickinson County Task Force on long deployments in 2026. This could possibly also involve Marion County. At least five trucks overall would be needed from the task force for deployments. No final decisions have been made.
A typical deployment could involve fighting major fires.
