Judith Keala Awana Cline, 89, of Milford, Kansas, passed away on April 5, 2025, at Stormont-Vail Healthcare, in Topeka, Kansas.

She was born on August 31, 1935, to James Makia Awana and Christine Ah Heong Chun in Honolulu, Hawaii.

She was born on August 31, 1935, to James Makia Awana and Christine Ah Heong Chun in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Judith worked as a Nurses Aid at St. Alexis Catholic Hospital in Bismark, North Dakota, before moving to Fort Riley, Kansas in 1974. In Kansas she worked as a Nutritionist for the Kansas State University Extension Office, then worked as a Realtor for Century 21 until she retired.

On May 7, 1956, she married Roger Harold Cline on Oahu, Hawaii. She and Roger, because of military orders, moved from Hawaii to Germany, then to Fort Lewis, Washington, then back to Germany. While Roger was in Vietnam, Judith and their sons lived in Washington State. Upon Roger’s return from Vietnam, the family moved to Bismarck, North Dakota, before moving to Fort Riley, Kansas. Judith and Roger lived in Milford, Kansas since 1978.

She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church on Fort Riley.

Judith is survived by her loving sons, Roger (Lydia) Jr., James (Bada), and Russell. Seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren, brothers Benjamin and Leo, sister Sandra, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents, spouse, sisters Josephine, Joanne, Joyce, Winona, and brothers, Rodney, James, and Lawrence.

A visitation will be held at the Johnson & Mass-Hinitt Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. The memorial service will be held on the same day from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. followed by a graveside service at Fort Riley Post Cemetery officiated by Father Ninemire.
