JC Main Street Market will host Safety Matters from 9 AM–1 PM in partnership with the Geary County Sheriff Department. Learn about general safety and take pictures with Safety Pup!
● Safety Pup Meet & Greet – Snap a photo with everyone’s favorite safety mascot!
● Sheriff’s Patrol Cars – Hop inside and check out the gear officers use every day.
● SWAT Truck & Tactical Display – Get a close-up look at the tools and equipment of our local SWAT team.
● Possible Sheriff’s Boat – Weather & availability permitting, explore a real patrol boat!
Flags of Geary County: “Proudly United, Community Ignited” Junction City Main Street invites you to take part in the Flag Project supporting multiple local organizations. For a small donation, Main Street will place and remove a leased 3x5 ft U.S. flag on a 10 ft pole in front of your home or business on six major holidays throughout the year. Flags will not be displayed in the event of rain.
Kids Day at the Geary Community Farmers Market
Every Thursday, June-July | 4–7 PM
Make Thursday evenings a family tradition.

● Weekly activities: seed planting, games, cooking demos, and scavenger hunts

Sunday Concerts at the Opera House: Join the JC Community Band every Sunday in June at 3 PM for free public performances at the C.L. Hoover Opera House.
Summer Youth Programs Begin This Week
● GEM Studios Summer Art Camp launches June 9 with themed weekly sessions like All About Me, Bugs & Animals, and Ocean Week.
● Activated Arts offers six dance classes and four theater workshops, from tap to clowning and creative drama. Click here for more info.
The Junction City Arts Council is hosting two Mini Summer Camps:
● July 14–15 for K–2nd grade
● July 16–17 for 3rd–5th grade Spots are limited, so sign your kids up now and get those creative juices flowing!

● The Office Trivia at D’z Lounge this Saturday at 8 PM with trivia, pretzel cart, and more. From June 16–30, 10% of all sales at D’z Lounge will be donated to the JC Animal Shelter.
Freedom Fest is seeking volunteers to help make this year’s celebration a success. Interested individuals can reach out to [email protected] to get connected!
Freedom on Wheels is happening Saturday, July 5th from 9:30 to 11AM at the market! Come out and ride down N Washington on your bikes, scooters, wagons, strollers etc! Anything non-motorized! Fill out a ticket to be entered into a drawing for Freedom Fest Wristbands, sponsored by the Fraternal Order of the Eagles in Junction City!
