SFC (Ret.) Paul C. Wagner, 68, of Junction City, Kansas passed away on September 24, 2024, at Valley View Senior Life Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born on December 16, 1955, to Spaniard Jr., and Betty (Cravens) Butler in Kansas City, Missouri.
While growing up in Arkansas, he worked on his father's farm during the summers. This taught him the importance of hard work which he carried throughout his life. Paul graduated from High School in the year 1977. Immediately after graduating, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in many military conflicts throughout his enlistment. He served his country honorably up to his retirement in 1994. Full military honors will be rendered during his graveside service at Kansas Veterans' Cemetery.
Into retirement, Paul enjoyed spending his time in nature. He was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman. Paul made sure to teach the importance of nature to his family by taking them fishing and camping while they were growing up.
Paul was a provider and a protector of his family and friends. He is survived by his three children, DaTanya Wagner of Kansas City, Missouri, Paul Wagner of Kansas City, Missouri, and Monica Wagner-Walker; twelve grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; two dogs, Nino and Doodlebug and a host of other loving family and friends. Paul was preceded in death by his loving parents; his wife, Debara; several siblings and one grandchild, Kaleel Wagner.
A graveside service will take place at Kansas Veterans' Cemetery on Thursday, October 3, 2024, from 1:00 to 1:30 p.m. with full military honors.
