Five JCHS Students Selected For KFTA

JUNCTION CITY, Kan. â€“ Geary USD 475 announced that Junction City High School recently had five students accepted into the 2024 Kansas Future Teacher Academy at Emporia State University.

Alexis Hoffman, Frederick Johnson, Izzy Pearson, Gabby Quinones and Rachel Robinsky will represent the Blue Jays this summer at the academy, which will take place in June and July on the campus of ESU. 

During this intense five-day program, participants will share in a variety of activities that will help them to understand and learn more about the challenges and rewards of teaching. The academy has become recognized as an established and highly respected training opportunity for students throughout the state of Kansas.

The Kansas Future Teacher Academy at Emporia State University, sponsored by The Teachers College, has graduated more than 1,200 high school students over more than 30 years.
