Man dead after cement truck, SUV crash on Kansas highway

WASHINGTON COUNTY—One person died in an accident just before 2p.m. Wednesday in Washington County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 1999 Mack Cement Truck driven by  Camran B. Bruna, 22, Hanover, was southbound on Kansas 148 Highway seven miles south of Hanover.

The driver lost control of the vehicle when it blew a driver's side tire.

The truck overturned onto its passenger side in the northbound lane and struck a 2017 Honda CRV driven by Cameron B. Gray, 37, Fairbury, Nebraska.

After impact, both vehicles entered the east ditch. The cement truck's drum came unattached and also came to rest in the ditch south of the vehicles. 

Gray was pronounced dead at the scene and transported to Ward Funeral Home. EMS transported Bruna to the hospital in Hanover. The KHP did not have seat belt usage information.
