RILEY COUNTY—One person was injured in an alleged violent assault on Sunday in Manhattan.
Just after. 8p.m. Sunday, officers filed a report of aggravated assault and aggravated battery in the 800 block of Dondee Drive in Manhattan, according to the Riley County Police Department activity report.
A 61-year-old woman reported a man struck her with a metal patio chair. EMS transported her to Via Christi for treatment of non life-threatening injuries.
Police arrested 42-year-old William Webster of Manhattan on requested charges of for aggravated battery. He was jailed on a $20,000 bond.
