--A 12th Street Community Center area project is due to go out for bid in January. According to City staff it will include parking lot improvements plus work on nearby Smothers Drive and storm drainage improvements.
--The city has $600,000 available but more will be needed to improve and add on to the animal shelter. The city will seek grant money to finish the project. There are numerous grants available.
--Westwood Boulevard mill and overlay is in design. Officials hope to let the contract in January and complete the work by September.
City commissioners were updated on the projects Tuesday night.
