Inclement weather days will become remote learning days

When parents receive notice of school closure due to inclement weather, USD 475 students will participate in remote learning for that day. USD 475 Marketing and Media Relations Coordinator, Sacha Dent, said the District is preparing remote learning opportunities to ensure education will continue even when bad weather closes school buildings.

Delivering instruction and student learning will be equivalent in effort and rigor to a typical school day. Students will be provided lessons through Schoology on those days. Unsafe travel for pedestrians, buses and vehicles will also be avoided.

When the District has adequate notice of an incoming storm and can advise students to take devices home, an inclement weather closure can now be replaced with a remote learning day.
