Geary County Historical Society officials have announced that they will host their annual Ice Cream Social fundraiser on Saturday, Sept. 16th from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Historical Museum. This is a change from past years when it was held on Sunday.
The reason for the change is so the event can coincide with Steam Saturday programming which this year will include engineering instruments.
The Ice Cream Social will still include such traditions as the High School Jazz Band and Orchestra, Kansas Brigade Band, pies made by 4-H clubs and ice cream.
