There will be a new exhibit coming to the Geary County Historical Society in 2023. Businesses, Then and Now will be installed in the auditorium space in late spring. The new exhibit will focus on the evolution of businesses in Geary County from general stores to grocery stores.
The Historical Society is looking for stories, photos, or items to be used within the exhibit. These items can relate to businesses that no longer exist, or those that are still local staples. Areas of interest include soda fountains, grocery stores, bars, theaters, shoe stores, hotels, department stores and restaurants.
