Geary County officials have announced a retirement reception for Diane Briestensky-Leonard, Register of Deeds. She has served Geary County for 30 years. Starting as the Deputy Register of Deeds, she was elected in November 1996 and assumed the role of Register of Deeds in January 1997 and continued to be re-elected, finishing her seventh term.
The public is invited to stop by and wish her well in her future endeavors, Friday, August 23 in the Geary County Commission Room, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. It will be a come and go reception
