RILEY COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just before 3p.m. Sunday in Riley County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2008 Toyota Tacoma driven by Stephen S Bolin, 66, Lake Helen, Florida, was westbound on Interstate 70 just west of Dry Creek Road. The pickup struck a patch of ice and spun out of control. A westbound 1986 Peterbilt semi driven by Chad M. Taylor, 45, Willet, New York, struck the passenger side of the pickup. Both vehicles came to rest in the median.
EMS transported Bolin to Stormont Vail Health Flint Hills in Junction City. Taylor was not injured. Both drivers were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
