Earth Day Cleanup draws good turnout

Posted Jun 04, 2024 2:27 PM

There was an Earth Day cleanup in Junction City this past Saturday. Organizers confirmed that there were more than 80 participants and they picked up nearly 1,000 pounds of trash!

This year’s city cleanup was the 16th annual event.  Over the course of those 16 years, volunteers have removed over 37,228 lbs. or 18.61 tons of trash from our City parks, entryways and public properties.  The City of Junction City CLEAN Team would like to take this opportunity to say Thank You to all of those people who volunteered their time.
