RILEY COUNTY — Law enforcement authorities are investigating another overdose involving fentanyl in Manhattan.

Just after 11:30 p.m. Monday, police responded to the report of an overdose in Manhattan, according to the Riley County Police Department activity report.

EMS transported a 20-year-old man to Via Christi for treatment after ingesting a presumably fake pressed M30 oxycodone pill pill containing fentanyl. After treatment, the hospital released him.

On Aug. 25, the Riley County Police Department reported they responded to four overdoses in the past week.  Two of them involved juveniles, one of them occurred at Manhattan High School during school hours.

Police urged the public not to buy and take pills from unknown sources because the chances it contains fentanyl is very high.

Anyone with information can contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Using the Crime Stoppers service can allow you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
