JUNCTION CITY, Kan. - The Kansas School of Social Welfare recently announced that Junction City High School and H.D. Karns Alternative School social worker, Teresa Palmer, has been named the 2026 Margo Award Recipient for Excellence in Social Work Practicum Instruction.
By being recognized, Palmer will receive a $500 award and will be highlighted on the Kansas School of Social Welfare social media platforms throughout the remainder of the school year.The Margo Awards are named for Margaret Schutz Gordon, Professor Emeritus, who served with distinction as Professor and Director of Practicum Education at KUSSW from 1970 to 1983.
This recognition honors Palmer’s commitment to student learning, mentorship and service to her community.
