The Junction City Blue Jay wrestling team finished fourth in their Class 6A Regional Tournament at Wichita Southeast on Friday with 186 points.
Washburn won the championship of the eight-team tournament with a score of251.5 points. Derby was second with 198 and Lawrence Free State third with 188 points. Junction City was fourth followed by Manhattan with 175, Wichita Southeast 28, Wichita East 20 and Wichita Heights 14 points.
In the individual weight class competition Blue Jay wrestlers qualifying for Substate next week include CJ Neuman first at 145 pounds, Isaiah Zinkan first at 195 pounds, Judah Peterson first 220, Ezekiel Witt who finished fourth at 106 pounds, Zachary Petrusky third at 113, Kayden Blake third place 120, Patrick Foxworth third 126, Anthony Petrusky third at 132 pounds, Jaime Villaneuva fourth 138 pounds, Griffin Bohannon fourth at 152, Jose Padilla fourth 160, Logan Nabus fourth 17o, Chris Owens sixth 182.
