Monday storm risk

National Weather Service issued a Thunderstorm Outlook for Monday.

Moderate Risk (level 4 out of 5) for Severe Storms

● What: Severe Thunderstorms with a few strong tornadoes, very large hail, damaging winds around 70 mph, and flash flooding.

● Where: The entire area is at risk for severe weather.

● When: Beginning 4-7pm across north central KS and moving east southeast through the night.

● Confidence: There is a 90% chance thunderstorms develop, and confidence is high there will be some severe storms. Biggest question is storm mode and how things evolve. This will impact which hazards are more likely.
