JUNCTION CITY, Kan. – Geary USD 475 has announced that the Junction City High School FBLA team recently placed first overall at the District III FBLA District Competition in Herington.“This is amazing and everyone should be so proud as this was a total team effort,” said Roxanne Whaley, Junction City High School FBLA oversight.
The Blue Jays captured first overall out of 15 teams with 290 points. Nemaha Central High School (277 points) and Herington High School (254 points) claimed second and third overall, respectively.
Individually, JCHS shined as Jacob Roeser (Banking and Financial Systems and Agribusiness), Winter Amoyan (Financial Statement Analysis, Impromptu Speaking and Public Administration), Cohen Cole (Personal Finance), Arianna Caudill (Cyber Security), Emily Maul (Business Law) and Tre Briley (Accounting), as well as the duo of Arianna Floberg and Zion Chaney (Intro to Social), all garnered first-place honors in Herington.
