Deputies respond to multiple accidents

Geary County Sheriff's Deputies responded to K-57 Highway mile marker 4 for a single vehicle injury accident at 10:11 a.m. Sunday. The Sheriff's Department reported that Logan L. DuPont, Manhattan, was traveling east on K-57 in a 2015 GMC Sierra when he fell asleep and left the roadway to the right. 

DuPont complained of head and chest pain and was transported to Geary Community Hospital by ambulance.

Deputies responded at 10:20 a.m. Sunday to U.S. 77 Highway and East Lyons Creek Road for a single vehicle injury accident. Courtney Lavender, Edmond, OK, was traveling southbound in a 2008 Infinity G35 when the vehicle hydroplaned due to heavy rain. Lavender lost control of the vehicle and it left the roadway, rolling over. Lavender complained of mild pain and was cleared by medical personnel. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene.

Deputies went to U.S. 77 Highway at mile marker 163 for a single vehicle injury accident with a deer. Samantha M. Blow, Milford, was traveling north in a 2006 Dodge Caravan when several deer entered the roadway and were struck by the vehicle. She reported minor pain and declined EMS transport. The vehicle sustained disabling damage.

Deputies responded to the intersection of U.S. 77 and K-57 for a two vehicle noninjury accident at 10:42 p.m. Saturday. Mary L. Leon, Junction City, was turning south on U.S. 77 in a 2015 Chevrolet Malibu when the vehicle struck a 2007 GC Yukon driven by Tyree J. Holloway, Junction City, who was traveling east on K-57 Highway. The Chevrolet Malibu sustained disabling damage and the GMC Yukon sustained functional damage. No injuries were reported.
