RILEY COUNTY—Law enforcement are investigating a knife attack in Manhattan.
Just after 8p.m. Monday, officers filed a report of aggravated battery, aggravated endangering a child and criminal damage to property in the 3000 block of James Avenue in Manhattan, according to the Riley County Police Department activity report.
A 17-year-old girl reported that her 21-year-old brother armed himself with a knife and recklessly stabbed her in the leg. The injury sustained by the 17-year-old listed victim was non-life-threatening. A 39-year-old female was listed as a second victim in the incident, along with a door that was damaged. Police arrested lsen Talalele Jr, 21, of Manhattan, on requested charges of aggravated battery, aggravated endangering a child and criminal damage to property. Talalele Jr. was issued a total bond of $10,000 and is no longer confined in custody, according to the RCPD.
