RILEY COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just before 11:30a.m. Wednesday in Manhattan.
According to the Riley County Police Department activity report, a 2003 Ford F-150, driven by William Wisell, 67, of Manhattan, struck a pedestrian identified as Vanessa Payne, 40, of Manhattan, when she was attempting to cross Anderson Avenue at Garden Way.
Riley County EMS transported Payne to Via Christi Hospital for treatment of her injuries. Wisell was issued a citation for failing to yield right of way to a pedestrian.
