The Sheriff's Department announced that awards were presented Monday to four Geary County Corrections officers for their part in saving the life of an inmate who attempted to kill himself.
Corrections Sgt. David Stevenson received the Life Saving Award from Sheriff Nate Boeckman. Corrections Lt. Victoria Butler, Corrections Officers Jadlyn Kallsen and Kayla Lane each received the Sheriff's Accommodation Award.
The awards were presented during the Geary County Commission meeting.
