Jesse “Veryl” Crawford, 87 of Clifton died March 3, 2021. He was born June 27, 1933 the son of Walter and Jessie (Parker) Crawford. He grew up in Clifton, graduating from Clifton High School in 1950. He served in the U.S. Army. Veryl married Dixie Black on July 14, 1961 and she preceded him in death on May 2, 2020. He worked for Fyfe Sand Company in Concordia for a short time before the family moved to Kansas City and Carrollton, MO. They later returned to Clifton and he owned and operated Big T’s Café for several years prior to returning to work at Fyfe Sand Company until his retirement. He is also preceded in death by his parents; son, Bryce Crawford; 2 brothers, Keith and Delmar and a sister, Laurel Knox.
Veryl was a member of the Clifton Christian Church and attended the Faith United Church Presbyterian, past member and Post Commander of the Clifton American Legion and he was a member of the Linn American Legion.

Memorial Services: Thursday, March 11, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at the Pleasant View Cemetery in Vining, Kansas
Visitation: Wednesday, March 10, 2021 from 4-6 p.m. at Faith United Church Presbyterian, Clifton, Kansas
