RILEY COUNTY—Law enforcement are investigating an alleged identity theft crime in Manhattan.
Just after 5p.m. Tuesday, officers filed a report of forgery and identity theft in the 2700 block of Bent Tree Drive in Manhattan, according to the Riley County Police Department activity report.
A 74-year-old woman reported an unknown suspect stole a check and altered it to redirect the payment. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $3,488.62.
