Junction City Can Dance is the title of a fundraiser for the youth education program at the C.L. Hoover Opera House Gala Saturday night. The event begins from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. with a reception that will also include an opportunity to make silent auction bids.
There will also be the unveiling of a new mural in a hallway of the building leading to the kitchen an green room. "It's really a huge artistic addition to the Opera House, said Co-Executive Director Joe Markley. There will also be live music and a photo exhibit of the Opera House for the last 10 years at the building. "
The main event will be performances by three dance groups with a live auction of items between the performances. The items range from a quarter of beef and processing to a plane ride over Junction City and the region.
Tickets can be obtained online at jcoperahouse.org. The price is 50. Efforts will be made to accommodate walk-ups Saturday night.
