Geary County Commissioner Keith Ascher said Monday that there is still an issue with traffic control in the County Office Building due to COVID-19 and trying to keep people separated and distanced. They invited department heads within the building and the sheriff to attend a meeting on the issue.

Ascher said they will try to find a short term solution. "there will probably be for lack of a better term, an ad hoc committee with about four or five department heads here and the sheriff sometime this week." That committee will develop recommendations to get the county through the end of the year, said Ascher. "Probably a bigger scope, we just need to look because this is probably going to drag out so we need to look toward the future.  How far out that is nobody knows."
