Jennifer Larrea-Acosta, a Junction City High School Senior in the Fine Arts/Human Services Academy, was recognized on April 6 as the JC Breakfast Optimist Club’s Student of the Month.
Marcie Fiorentino, JCHS Freshman Success Academy and the Optimist Club’s Chairperson for the Student of the Month, stated that “Jennifer was born in Junction City; is one of five girls in her family; is a Cluster Ambassador and is interning at Sheridan Elementary School. Jennifer plans to attend Emporia State University in the teacher education program to be trained and licensed as an elementary teacher.”
Jennifer received a movie pass to the B&B Theater; a $25.00 gift certificate from JC’s BBQ & Grill and a certificate from the JC Breakfast Optimist Club. JCHS counselors receive nominations from the high school academies and select one student to be the JC Breakfast Optimist Club Student of the Month.
