Earl James Wells, 85 years old, died July 25, 2021. He was born on August 30, 1935 in Longford, Kansas the son of Doyle and Velma (Livengood) Wells. Earl was raised in the Longford community. He served in the US Air Force for 23 years. Earl married Nancy Rodgers on October 2, 1971. After leaving the Air Force, they made their home in rural Clay County and Earl worked as a truck driver for several years, most of his time spent with Newell Truckline. Nancy preceded him in death on March 6, 1992. Earl was a member of the Longford Lions Club, V.F.W. and American Legion. He was also preceded in death by his parents and a son, George Wells.
