Geary Community Hospital Interim CEO and Chief Financial Officer Wade Weis is leaving GCH. He will become the chief executive officer for Buchanan County Hospital in Iowa. Weis, who was employed by Community Hospital Corporation at GCH will step down Feb. 18th.
Margaret Grismer, Derby, KS will become the new Interim CEO, pending the signing of a CHC Transition Agreement. Her hiring was approved by the Hospital Board of Trustees. Grismer has experience in healthcare administration in Hillsboro, Kiowa and in Leavenworth with the Federal Bureau of Prisons. She is also a retired nurse and Navy veteran.
Also, the Director of Human Resources and External Relations at Geary Community, L.J. Baker will resign effective Feb. 18th. Both Weis and Baker were recognized during the Board of Trustees meeting for their service to Geary Community Hospital.
