
RILEY COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a Kansas felon on new charges after an arrest in Manhattan.
Just before 2p.m. Wednesday, a 25-year-old woman reported a suspect identified as Aaron Lewis, 25, Manhattan, kidnapped and injured her, according to the Riley County Police Department activity report.
Officers arrested Lewis connection on requested charges of aggravated kidnapping, aggravated domestic battery, domestic battery, violation of protection order, interference with Law enforcement officer, criminal trespass, aggravated intimidation of a witness/victim, and seven counts of failure to appear, according to the report. Lewis is being held on a bond of $63,750.00
He has previous convictions for burglary, criminal threat and domestic battery, according to the Kansas Dept. of Corrections. He had been out of prison since July of 2019.
