There will be an open house hosted by the Geary County Sheriff's Department on Wednesday, Sept. 15th at the new Milford Lake Substation at 8421 Quarry Road. The open house will begin at 6 p.m. You will be able to view the substation with static displays from the marine unit and dive teams.&nbsp; There will be sausage and hot dogs donated by Smithfield.&nbsp;

An informal Town Hall meeting begins at 7 p.m. where the Sheriff and command staff will speak and take questions.
