Geary County Sheriff's Deputies responded to I-70, mile marker 294 for an injury accident at 5:44 a.m. Tuesday. Angel Silva-Almaraz, Abilene was traveling eastbound in a Hyundai Sonata and struck a deer in the roadway. Airbags were deployed and Silva-Almaraz complained of chest and foot pain, but refused medical transport. The vehicle was removed by Gross Wrecker.
