Geary County Senior Center Board Member Bob Hiatt was recognized during the monthly meeting of that panel for his service in the local Meals on Wheels program. He recently retired from those deliveries after 22 years of service.

Hiatt was presented with an award during the meeting. "That was real nice. That was a surprise."

Hiatt and others deliver the meals in temperature controlled containers and delivery personnel have a list of people for whom they deliver a meal.&nbsp;

Over the years Bob has been accompanied by his wife as well. "It's enjoyable seeing the people and they enjoy seeing us."
