Celebrate National Library Card Sign-up Month in September with the Dorothy Bramlage Public Library

Members of the public are invited to Get in Your Element all September long in recognition of National Library Card Sign-Up Month.  The library will host a number of activities to encourage those who do not have a current library card to stop in and get one before the month’s end. The goal is to issue two hundred new cards during this month.

Those who get a library card in September will be able to use it same day to borrow both hardcopy and digital items.  They will also be invited to:

·         Fill out a drawing ticket to win a prize. (Children and adults)

·         Enter to win a quilt created and donated by Montika Allen-Atkinson, a lifetime Friends of the Library Member.  (Adults only)

·         Enter to win an Elemental Busy Book with a fun story and other goodies (Children only)

·          Select a free book from the daily book sale on the day they receive their card.  This gift is sponsored by the friends of the library.

·         Pick up a take and make craft from the circulation desk.

·          Attend a day of fun on Saturday, September 23 from 9am-5pm that will include drop-in activities in the morning and a showing of the movie Elemental in the afternoon beginning at Noon. Pre-registration is required for the morning activities and that began on September 9 and will continue until the 22nd or until full.  No registration is required to attend the movie where light refreshments will also be served.

·         Join the library in making a donation to the local animal shelter.
