Following staff recommendations the Geary USD 475 Board of Education has approved the addition of three new positions at Junction City High School. They include a physical education teacher, an ELA teacher for the 9th grade and a Literacy Lab teacher&nbsp; for 10th through 12th grades.

On the PE teaching position staff reported that in some cases there can be 90 kids in a class. It can be a challenge.

The school board also approved the creation of a budget specialist position for up to a two-and-a-half year period. This position will be at the Devin Center and will assist with the oversight of the budgets for grant funds.
