NAACP in Geary and Riley counties to host a public interest and reorganization meeting

Flint Hills, KS — The NAACP chapters in Geary (Junction City) and Riley (Manhattan) Counties are currently reorganizing and working collaboratively to establish a renewed presence across the Flint Hills region. Community members are invited to participate in shaping the future direction of the organization by sharing their ideas, perspectives, and voices.

A public interest and reorganization session will be held on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at 6:00 PM at the C.L. Hoover Opera House, located at 135 W. 7th Street in Junction City, Kansas.

The meeting is open to all past and current NAACP members, as well as individuals interested in becoming members. The session will provide an opportunity for community members to learn more about the organization’s plans, engage in discussion, and share input about local priorities.

Kenya Cox, NAACP State President, will facilitate the session, which will include time for information sharing, discussion, and a question-and-answer segment.
