JCHS students show their creativity in art

Twenty-four Junction City High School students traveled to the 47th Annual High School Art Exhibition at Fort Hays State University on Wednesday. Artwork at the show is judged by a juried panel of FHSU faculty and Hays area artists.

According to Art Teacher David Goheen there were 28 pieces from 13 different JCHS students that received a Certificate of Merit from the Jurors. The following students won awards:

--Sophia Behm – 5 awards,

--Dain Cortez – 4 awards,

--AnnaBella Lind – 4 awards,

--Julianna Cooper – 2 awards,

--John Quintal – 2 awards,

--Corbin Scarff – 2 awards,

--Morgan Masterson – 2 awards,

--Leo Warwick – 2 awards,

--Raven McKinney – 1 award,

--Edwin Moreno – 1 award,

--Aloal’I Torres – 1 award,

--Mia West – 1 award,

--Grace Popovich – 1 award.
